JoAnne is a Certified Lay Servant for the United Methodist Church.  She has served as lay minister in both small and large church congregations.   Her gifts and passions for serving God include teaching, preaching and pastoral caregiving.  JoAnne’s vision is a community and world where God and love come first.  

Community service is a very important part of JoAnne’s ministry.  She is a volunteer coordinator for the Halifax Food Room and an active member of the Halifax Ministerium and Northern Dauphin Pastors’ Network.   JoAnne has served on mission to India, Uganda and Kentucky as well as in the local Halifax and Harrisburg areas. 

JoAnne is a nurse who currently works in community health and has worked in acute and critical care throughout her career.   She is honored to teach senior nursing students at Messiah University in a senior leadership course.   JoAnne volunteers for a Harrisburg health system as a chaplain assistant where she ministers to patients, families and staff in the hospital setting.  She is married, has a son, 1 dog, 4 cats and 2 ducks.  She loves to walk, garden and travel.
